Skin care is the best care, next to self-care of course! Who doesn’t love silky smooth skin?
As the seasons change I notice that my face does as well. I live in Illinois, so you know what that means. The weather does what it wants! When the weather is colder, which it usually is, I notice that my skin gets dry quicker and needs more moisture. I have combination skin, so i’m sure many of you can relate. When it’s warmer out my skin is more oily and I find myself wanting to detox my pores more often.
During the different seasons, I like to switch up some steps in my skincare routine and add a few extra goodies. Now, I still keep up with my Curology routine, but when my skin is out of whack I have to take some extra care. I think every woman can relate to the fact that you always have to be prepared for what your skin might do. You just never know!
To kick-start your face mask collection I thought i’d help a bit by giving you some of my favorite affordable masks.
Lapcos MILK Moisturizing Mask
MILK’s Moisturizing face mask is such a lifesaver. I often use it when my face is feeling dryer in colder months.
After washing my face with my Curology cleanser I’ll pat my face dry and then apply this mask. It’s a sheet mask, so you don’t have to worry about a messy application. It’s very user-friendly.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizing Mask
This is by far my favorite face mask. It’s been a staple of mine for years.
I use this whenever my skin needs a complete refresh and it delivers every time. If you’re a fan of sheet masks this would be a great one to add to your collection. Now, this does have a bit of a cooling effect once applied. It’s subtle, but you’ll notice. I like that feeling, but for some, it may be bothersome. Just an FYI for you all!
Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque
Dermalogica’s Skin Hydrating Masque is one of the most refreshing masks i’ve ever used.
I received this as a stocking stuffer gift last Christmas and it was a staple of mine for months. I recently ran out, but I’ll be restocking very soon. This mask is easy to apply and works quickly. The directions say to leave it on for 7-10 minutes, but I always go just a little longer. That’s my preference though!
