If you don’t know by now my name is Lauren Chapman and I am the creative mastermind behind CamilleLove Blog. I mainly blog about my life adventures, advice, travel experiences, and most recently my experience as a blogger/writer.

My #1 goal for myself when I began blogging was to reach others and inspire them to create things they love, so I thought it’s only fitting that I also use CamilleLove as a support system for both new and experienced bloggers.

There are tons of tips and tricks to be shared and as a writer, I know how important it is to establish a strong foundation. Getting the building blocks together early on will only make things easier. Trust me!

In 2018 when CamilleLove Blog came to be I had no clue how to start a blog. I just knew I wanted to write because that’s what I’ve always loved doing. So, that’s what I did. I wrote about everything I could from haircare to podcasts to my monthly subscriptions, I wanted it all out there! This was both fun and freeing, and ultimately helped me to narrow down the categories you now see on my blog today.

You can easily start your own blog too

As time has gone on and I’ve had the chance to reflect on lessons learned I’ve come to a realization that may come as a surprise for some of you. It’s all you need to know in order to get your blog off the ground! I learned this through trial and error, connections with other bloggers, and my support system. That secret is:

There is no correct way to start a blog!

Yes, you read that right. There is no how-to manual on starting a blog because each bloggers experience is completely different than the next person’s. But that’s what makes the journey so enjoyable.

What you offer is unique and cannot be copied, so I want to encourage you today to remember that your gift, your skillset, your passions are yours to share. Yes, there may be others doing the same, but no one can do it like you. The community that supports you will value your content simply because it’s yours! This is something I learned almost 2 years into blogging, and I wish I understood it right off the bat. I don’t want you to make the same mistake I did, so please grasp this concept now! It’ll only help in the grand scheme of things.

Keep your why first as you blog

I’m here to tell you that as long as you keep your ‘why’ in the forefront of your mind at all times you will be the blogger you’ve always wanted to become. It’s seriously that easy!

Your reason behind the blog will keep you going when you’re feeling unmotivated, lost, confused, etc. It’s the one sure thing you’ll always be able to come back to. Let that be your motivation and you’ll continue to create content you’re proud of.

Remember your gift as a writer is appreciated and needed in the world, now more than ever.
