LEGO Friends Liann’s Family House 42687 (ASIN B0FMS7WSD1)
Best Lego Friends Buying Guide — Black Friday Deals 2026
LEGO Friends sets can lead to very different kinds of make-believe: arranging flowers, running a café or moving between rooms in a family house. This guide focuses on those play differences, along with the pieces, characters and finished dimensions listed for each model. During Black Friday, compare the exact set name and model number shown in an offer rather than assuming that a seasonal label identifies the same version. The three options here suit different play ideas, so deciding what the recipient will enjoy building and returning to can be more useful than choosing by the offer headline alone.
Best Budget is the editorial label for the LEGO Friends Creative Flower Shop 42693, a 377-piece set built around making custom flower displays and bouquets. It includes two LEGO Friends minidolls, along with colorful flowers, vases, scissors, a cup, a cash register and a phone. These objects give the shop scenario several concrete roles: arranging a display, preparing a bouquet or imagining a customer interaction. That focused creative activity is a reason to consider this model when comparing Black Friday options, especially if the recipient is more drawn to arranging and decorating than to a café or a multi-room home.
The accessories can help a child vary the shop story without changing its central theme. Flowers and vases support making displays; the cash register and phone add shop details, and the cup can become part of an imagined break. The set is recommended for ages 7 years old and up. Its completed model measures over 4 in. (10 cm) high, 7.5 in. (20 cm) wide and 5.5 in. (14 cm) deep, so those stated dimensions offer a practical reference when deciding where the build could sit. The model is also the smallest piece-count option among these three listed products, but piece count alone does not establish how much a child will enjoy the build or play.
For building help, a digital version of the printed instructions can be used to zoom in, rotate models in 3D, save sets and track progress. That may be a useful option for children who like viewing build steps digitally as well as following printed instructions. The Best Budget designation is an editorial choice among the featured sets, grounded in this being the 377-piece flower-shop option; it is not a claim about a Black Friday price or discount. Before choosing an offer, check that it names Creative Flower Shop 42693 and consider whether its flower-arranging theme and listed accessories are a better fit than the other play settings. A seasonal label alone does not tell you what is included.

Best Overall is the editorial pick for shoppers who want a LEGO Friends set organized around a clear, repeatable social scene. The Unicorn Dream Café 42684 is a 475-piece toy building set with Paisley, Aliya and Iza minidolls. Its indoor and outdoor seating areas let kids seat the characters in different parts of the café, giving the pretend visit a setting to return to after the build. For Black Friday shoppers, that mix of a defined venue and three named minidolls makes it a useful option to consider when the recipient enjoys making up conversations and café visits.
The toy-food details give the scene specific prompts: kids can serve donuts, waffles, cookies, cupcakes and cakes. That range can help a child invent different orders or change the story from one play session to another, while the seating areas provide places for the minidolls to gather. The set measures over 4.5 in. (12 cm) high, 10.5 in. (26 cm) wide and 4 in. (10 cm) deep, useful dimensions to check against the space where a completed model might be displayed or used. The listing does not provide an age recommendation in the supplied details, so use the age guidance shown on the exact item you are considering rather than inferring it.
Building support is another practical point: the LEGO Builder app provides instructions, lets kids save sets and track progress, and allows them to zoom in and rotate models in 3D while building. Those functions may suit a child who likes to inspect a model from different angles during construction. The café is a strong all-around choice here because its characters, seating and pretend-play food work together around one recognizable activity; that is the reasoning behind the Best Overall label, not a claim of measured superiority. During Black Friday, verify that the offer is for Unicorn Dream Café 42684, then weigh its café-focused play against the flower-shop and house settings.

LEGO Friends Liann’s Family House 42687 (ASIN B0FMS7WSD1)
Best for Family-Home Pretend Play is the editorial label for LEGO Friends Liann’s Family House 42687. With 946 pieces, it offers a house setting made up of a kitchen, living area, bedroom, balcony and garden. That spread of spaces gives a child several locations to use when making up everyday home stories, rather than centering play on one shop or café. For a Black Friday gift comparison, it is the option to look at when rooms and a home setting matter more to the recipient than a single commercial scene.
The set includes Liann, Michelle, Paisley and Nova minidolls, as well as pet gecko and axolotl toy figures with their own terrariums and food. The named characters and pets provide additional ingredients for pretend play across the house’s spaces. The completed house measures over 8 in. (20 cm) high, 11.5 in. (29 cm) wide and 4.5 in. (12 cm) deep. Check those dimensions against the intended play or display area before buying; they describe the house, not the space a child may want around it while playing. Its recommended age is ages 7+.
The family-home theme is also the reason for the Best for Family-Home Pretend Play label: the rooms, balcony, garden and pet details all support that specific kind of story. The larger listed piece count and multiple spaces may be worth considering if the recipient wants a house-centered build, while a flower shop or café may make more sense if they prefer those focused settings. During Black Friday, match the displayed offer to Liann’s Family House 42687 and confirm the product variant before comparing it with the other sets. The label describes its fit among these choices, not a tested ranking or a promise about the deal.

Start with the kind of story the build invites
A useful first question is what the recipient might like to pretend after the pieces are assembled. The Creative Flower Shop sets up making bouquets and custom displays, with flowers, vases and shop accessories to bring into the scenario. The Unicorn Dream Café offers indoor and outdoor seating and toy food to serve. Liann’s Family House has a kitchen, living area, bedroom, balcony and garden, creating several home settings for stories. These are distinct play premises, not interchangeable versions of one scene.
Think about the child’s existing interests without assuming that a particular theme will guarantee longer play. A child who likes arranging objects may be drawn to the flower shop; one who enjoys inventing visits and orders may prefer the café; someone who likes home-based stories may choose the house. For Black Friday, let that preference guide the comparison before looking at the seasonal offer. This keeps a striking headline from steering the decision toward a theme that does not match the intended gift.
Use the listed contents to picture play after building
The included details can make the choice more concrete. The flower shop’s colorful flowers, vases, scissors, cup, cash register and phone suggest several shop activities. At the café, the named minidolls can use the indoor and outdoor seating, and kids can serve donuts, waffles, cookies, cupcakes and cakes. In the house, four minidolls share the setting with a gecko and axolotl, each with a terrarium and food. Consider which of these specific prompts the recipient is most likely to use.
A Black Friday offer is easier to compare when you check what the exact model includes, rather than assuming that similarly themed sets have the same characters or accessories. If a child likes role-playing with several people, note the listed minidolls; if pets or varied rooms matter, the house’s supplied details may be especially relevant. This is a way to match the product to a play idea, not to claim that one set contains more meaningful play than another.
Consider age guidance, piece count and build support
The supplied age guidance is explicit for the Creative Flower Shop, recommended for ages 7 years old and up, and Liann’s Family House, listed for ages 7+. The provided Unicorn Dream Café details do not state an age recommendation. Check the packaging or listing for the exact café set if age guidance is important; do not use another product’s recommendation as a substitute. These checks are particularly useful when a Black Friday deal makes a set look appealing but leaves the precise item unclear.
Piece counts are another point of reference: the flower shop has 377 pieces, the café has 475, and the house has 946. Those figures describe the sets, but do not by themselves establish build time or difficulty. Building support differs in the details provided: the flower shop has a digital version of the printed instructions with options to zoom, rotate models in 3D, save sets and track progress; the café’s LEGO Builder app provides instructions and those save, progress and 3D-view functions. Choose with the recipient’s preferred building guidance in mind.
Check the finished model against its intended place
The finished dimensions can help you decide where a model might be played with or displayed. The flower shop measures over 4 in. (10 cm) high, 7.5 in. (20 cm) wide and 5.5 in. (14 cm) deep. The café measures over 4.5 in. (12 cm) high, 10.5 in. (26 cm) wide and 4 in. (10 cm) deep. The house measures over 8 in. (20 cm) high, 11.5 in. (29 cm) wide and 4.5 in. (12 cm) deep. Check the measurements that matter for your planned location.
Treat those figures as a planning reference, not as a full description of the room a child will need while playing. A child may want to reach the model and arrange its scene, so consider how it will be used as well as where it will sit. During Black Friday comparisons, dimensions also help distinguish the exact product listing when several Friends sets appear together. Don’t assume an offer applies to the model you have in mind until the product name and number match.
Make a careful Black Friday offer comparison
Seasonal language does not establish that a particular set is discounted, available or identical to another listing. Compare the exact model name and number: Creative Flower Shop 42693, Unicorn Dream Café 42684 or Liann’s Family House 42687. Then review the details shown for that specific offer, including the product variant and listed contents. This avoids treating a general LEGO Friends promotion or image as proof that the item in front of you is the one you intended to choose.
Next, return to your priorities: theme, included characters and accessories, age guidance where supplied, building support and completed dimensions. A Black Friday offer that matches the recipient’s interests may be a better fit for your gift plan than one that merely looks compelling in a seasonal roundup. No price or discount is established here, so make your decision using the actual offer presented to you and the product details you can verify there. If any part of the listing is unclear, pause to confirm it before making the purchase.
Make your Black Friday choice
For a flower-arranging activity, consider Creative Flower Shop 42693; for seating, café characters and pretend-play treats, consider Unicorn Dream Café 42684; for stories across rooms and a garden, consider Liann’s Family House 42687. Each recommendation label reflects a particular fit among these three options, not a universal ranking. As Black Friday offers appear, confirm the model number and compare the exact listing with the play theme, included details and dimensions that matter to your recipient. Choosing by those practical distinctions can make the seasonal search more focused without assuming that every offer represents a saving.
